 Zenith Steel Group Corporation (hereinafter as Zenith), situated in the Changjiang River Delta Region, was established in September of 2001. It adjoins National Highway 312 in the south and the railway and express way from Shanghai to Nanjing in the north. It is 150 kilometers away to Shanghai Airport and Nanjing Airport respectively. Beijing-Hangzhou Canal runs through the plant area of the company, which brings us a convenient transportation. Ever since 2001, the group has been growing remarkably through the last ten years. With a total asset of RMB 30 billion and more than 10,000 staff, Zenith is a national-level group that integrates industries as pelletizing, sintering, iron and steel making, steel rolling, electricity and oxygen generating, logistics, ports, real estate, foreign trading as well as a solely funded five star hotel.
Dedicate to enhance the innovation capacity and promote the integration of production, learning and research, the group has imported many state of the art equipments and technology from renowned manufacturers in the world such as Siemens, Morgan America, Danieli and Atlas. In June, 2009, it has become an application and research center of Central Iron & Steel Research Institute. Led by Gan Yong, the vice president of Chinese Academy of Engineering, the group dedicate themselves to develop high- tech products with high added value, especially 700Mpa high strength de-bars which fills in the blanks of domestic markets.
Adhering to the development policy of "insisting independent innovation, developing recycling economy, and building a green factory", the group has invested over two billion yuan in energy conservation and pollution reduction. We've applied dry gas cleaning technology, making sure that the gas and dust emission below 10mg/m3. To protect water resource in the Taihu lake valley, Zenith Steel is initiating a water recycling project which can save 15 million tons of water annually. Besides, gas, steam, waste residue, waste water and solid waste could all be re-used, realizing clean production and recycling economy. Zenith has met the Resource-saving Goal proposed by the National Eleventh Five-year Plan more than enough.
With industrial output of RMB 42.61 billion, business revenue of RMB 50.17 billion, profit and tax of RMB 1.56 billion, Zenith has been among the top 500 enterprises in China for the last six consecutive years, and in 2010, it ranks the 185th of the Chinese top 500 enterprises, the 88th of the Chinese top 500 manufacturing enterprises, the 13th in the Chinese private enterprises, the 8th of the top 100 enterprises and the 5th of the top 100 private enterprises in Jiangsu Province.
Looking into the future, zenith is about to open a new era of developing into a modernised, diversified and international group which highlights recycling economy, advanced technology and impeccable quality. In 2011, we will spare no effort not only in R&D but also in environment protection. In 2011, at its tenth anniversary, Zenith Steel will make tremendous strides on the road to "Green Steel City". |
